Each row in the exported dataset represents one node in the conversation tree:

  • position (int): Chronological index (0 to N) representing post order.
  • id (text): 64-bit Snowflake ID shielded as a string literal to prevent Excel exponential truncation.
  • in_reply_to_status_id (text): The immediate parent post Snowflake ID.
  • author_name & author_handle (text): Author profile details.
  • created_at (ISO 8601 UTC): Universal timestamp parseable by SQL and spreadsheet engines.
  • full_text (text): Uncollapsed post text wrapped safely in RFC 4180 double quotes.
  • media_urls (text): Semicolon-delimited high-resolution image and video source URLs.
  • completeness_status (text): Records whether the sequence was fully verified or interrupted.

Every row represents an individual post in the thread and includes an explicit position index (0 to N) along with the in_reply_to_status_id column. This enables relational reconstruction of branching reply trees inside business intelligence or SQL databases.

Does the CSV prevent Excel from corrupting tweet IDs into scientific notation?

Yes. 64-bit Twitter Snowflake IDs are encapsulated as text literals per RFC 4180 guidelines, preventing Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets from truncating the final 4 digits to zero.

Are line breaks and commas inside tweets safe from breaking CSV columns?

Yes. Full text payloads are safely enclosed in standard double quotes, with internal quotation marks escaped as "". This prevents accidental row splitting and maintains column alignment.

How do I load and sort the thread CSV in Python pandas?
