Twitter Audio Downloader
Use the free Twitter audio downloader to extract an available audio track from a public Twitter or X video and save it as WAV in your browser.
How to use the Twitter audio downloader
Paste a public video link
Paste the specific Twitter or X video post into the Twitter audio downloader. Only the requested public post is retrieved.
Choose an audio source
Review the available MP4 dimensions and bitrates, then choose the source whose audio you want to keep.
Download the WAV file
The browser decodes the source locally and downloads an uncompressed WAV file. Keep the page open while the source is being processed.
Why the Twitter audio downloader exports WAV
WAV can be written directly from decoded PCM samples in the browser, so this tool does not need a paid conversion API or a server-side encoder. The result is larger than MP3 but preserves the decoded audio without adding another lossy conversion.
For MP4 downloads, use the Twitter video downloader. For animated GIF posts, use the Twitter GIF downloader, which keeps the available MP4 animation source.
Browser and source limits
The Twitter audio downloader limits the source to 50 MiB to keep decoding practical in a browser. It does not process HLS-only playlists, private posts, deleted posts, or files returned with an unsupported audio codec.
Twitter audio downloader questions
Is this Twitter audio downloader free?
Yes. It retrieves one public video post and decodes the available audio in your browser without an account or paid API.
Does it download MP3 files?
This version exports uncompressed WAV because browsers can decode the source reliably without shipping a server-side audio encoder. Use a local converter if you specifically need MP3.
Why is there no audio button for my post?
The post may have no MP4 source, may only expose an HLS stream, or may be unavailable. HLS playlists are kept as stream links by the video downloader but are not decoded by this WAV tool.
Is the video uploaded to another service?
No. The MP4 is fetched through TwiFlux's controlled media route and decoded locally with the browser AudioContext. The page does not upload or store the audio result.
