How to use the Twitter link cleaner

  1. Paste a Twitter or X link

    Use a post, profile, or other public link from x.com or twitter.com. The cleaner does not need an account or a data API.

  2. Choose the host format

    Keep the original Twitter host or enable canonical x.com. In both cases, the post path remains intact.

  3. Copy the clean URL

    Review which parameters were removed, then copy the cleaned URL or open it in a new tab.

What the Twitter link cleaner changes

The Twitter link cleaner removes common campaign and sharing parameters that make links longer or reveal extra sharing context. It removes the URL hash, trims trailing path slashes, and sorts remaining query parameters for a stable result.

Unknown parameters stay visible

The tool does not delete every query parameter. If a parameter is not on the known tracking list, it stays in the output so a functional link is not silently changed.

What does the Twitter link cleaner remove?

It removes common sharing and tracking parameters such as s, t, ref, fbclid, gclid, and utm_* parameters. It keeps the tweet path and any parameter it does not recognize as tracking.

Will cleaning the link change the tweet?

No. The cleaner does not fetch or edit the post. It only normalizes the URL, removes the hash, and optionally changes an old Twitter host to x.com.

Can I keep twitter.com instead of x.com?

Yes. Turn off Use canonical x.com host before cleaning. The original Twitter host is then preserved while removable tracking parameters are still removed.

Does the Twitter link cleaner upload my URL?

No. URL parsing runs in your browser. The link is not sent to TwiFlux or stored.
